Recently, a dad bought a $1 million legendary supercar at a gas station on a whim — a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT.

The man in question is Houston Crosta, who was driving around town in his giant GMC Yukon Denali.

He eventually spotted a particular car he had bid for back in 2023.

While Houston was the highest bidder at the auction, he wasn’t able to hit the reserve.

So the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT went unsold and he gave up on the idea.

However, after running into the Porsche’s owner, he found out it was still up for sale.

Finally, Houston checked his bank account and shook hands with the owner to seal the deal.

“I’ll buy it, dude, like, we have a deal,” he said.

The incredible story of Houston and Porsche Carrera GT is covered on his YouTube channel.

Houston is no stranger to supercars as he had previously bought a luxury Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV with a pink interior and a pink starlight headliner for his 5-year-old daughter.

Now that’s one hell of a gift.

After calling his wife and getting her approval, Houston finally got his hands on the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT.

Although he has a successful YouTube channel, Houston also owns an ‘exotic car’ rental company.

Since he owns a supercar dealership, it shows that he didn’t just buy the supercar on a whim.

2005 Porsche Carrera GT

The 2005 Porsche Carrera GT comes with a 5.7-liter V10 engine that produces 605 horsepower and 435 lb-ft or 590 Nm of torque.

It is a rear-wheel drive car with a 6-speed manual transmission system.

The car that Houston Crosta brought was involved in an accident in October 2009.

However, the supercar was rebuilt in March 2010 and then again in 2012.

Coincidentally, it’s the very same model that Paul Walker was in as a passenger when he suffered a tragic and fatal accident.
