Donald Trump’s reaction to electric tanks for the US Army immediately goes viral

Politicians like Donald Trump are permanently trying to attract votes, and Trump’s latest attempt to do that involves electric vehicles.

But not the sort of electric vehicle you’d expect.

US Armed Forces, both regionally and on a Federal level, are gradually switching to electric power when it comes to some of their vehicles.

Several police departments including the NYPD, for example, are now adding Teslas to their patrol fleet.

However, Trump’s latest political speech went viral because it involves something a tad bigger: tanks.

There’s a rumor that the US Army might purchase some electric tanks in the future.

At the time of writing, there aren’t any military-grade EV tanks for sale so the rumor may be politically-infused, just like Trump’s reaction.

It sounds like something that’s going to be debated for years.

But, as we all know, the former US President doesn’t shy away from controversy, which is why his speech created chaos on social media.

“So they want to have an army tank that’s electric,” Trump said in his speech.

“You can’t recharge it, it doesn’t go far enough, [but] at least we will go in there with environmentally nice equipment.”

The speech went viral and was reposted across several social networks.

And the comment section in each one of them is exactly what you expect: a fruit salad of political comments, both pro and against Donald Trump.

On the upside, most people kept it PG, resorting to irony.

“And then [we] leave thanks there and walk back home,” one user said.

“We’ll add charging stations in the woods,” another user commented.

“I can see all the electric tanks plugged to a Honda generator,” a third user wrote.
