The Tesla Cybertruck is not your standard cop car, but it’s been a valuable asset to the Dubai Police.

It joined the force back in June and has been wowing onlookers ever since.

The striking vehicle is primarily tasked with traffic enforcement, but has proven useful in other ways.

The Cybertruck is a police car with a difference

The car’s ‘wow factor’ has helped build bridges between members of the public and the police.

As tourists and residents stopped to take pictures of the car, they began interacting with the officers and building relationships.

The Cybertruck has also been credited with instilling a feeling of security and safety, especially in tourist-heavy spots in the city.

First Lieutenant Abudallah Al Marzooqi of the Tourist Police Department spoke of the car’s success on the streets.

He told the Khaleej Times: “Whenever the Cybertruck is out on the streets, people can’t help but stop and take pictures.

“They’re always coming up to us with questions about the vehicle, and you can see the sense of security and excitement it brings to the public.”

The Cybertruck is primarily seen around popular tourist spots, hotels and malls.

A closer look at Dubai’s seriously impressive fleet

As cool as the Cybertruck is, the rest of Dubai’s fleet is just as breathtaking.

Among the roster is a Lamborghini Aventador, a Audi R8, Bentley Continental GT, McLaren MP4-12C, and a Bugatti Veyron.

But as a courtesy of being the newest, the Cybertruck is currently the crowd favorite.

Al Marzooqi said: “The Cybertruck is not just about power and performance.

“It’s unique design and advanced features help us instill a strong sense of safety and security for both tourists and residents.”

The Cybertruck’s angular design is made from stainless steel, giving it the durability and protection a police car needs.

The windows are empowered by Tesla’s Armour Glass technology, which ensures they are sturdy against impact.

With the ability to tow up to 11,000 pounds and a driving range of 340 miles, the Cybertruck is well-equipped for the job of law enforcement.

If needed for a speedy response, what better vehicle than one that can go from 0 to 60kmph in a staggering 4.3 seconds?

Al Marzooqi said: “The Cybertruck will play a vital role in our efforts to provide a strong security presence in tourist areas.

“It’s unique design and advanced features will help us continue to make visitors to Dubai feel safe and secure.”

As cool as a Cybertruck police car is, it looks even cooler in black – as demonstrated by this custom car.
