Dubai police cars are stunning fleet of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bugattis and more and this is why they're so exotic

There’s a reason why Dubai police use these amazing supercars from Bentley, Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, and a long list of others.

It has very little to do with material and practical necessities and all to do with something else entirely.

The wild part is that they also have few-off supercars at their disposal.

But it’s all for a very good reason.

It’s all about soft power, baby

One of many expressions that transitioned from geopolitical and political discourse to mainstream conversations everywhere is ‘soft power’.

According to Google Gemini: “Soft power is the ability of a country to influence other nations through attraction and persuasion.”

That’s part of the reason why Dubai police use crazy cars.

Police officers in the UAE don’t necessarily need flashy cars or supercars.

Partly because fast cars needn’t be flashy, but mostly but there’s basically no crime in UAE.

But that’s the point.

There’s no crime in UAE, there are cool cars, there are business opportunities, there are luxury hotels – the list goes on.

These are all things and facts that Dubai is using to market itself, including the cars.

Dubai – and, to a lesser extent, all the other Emirates – want people to know that Dubai can afford to splash cash on unique supercars for their police officers.

It’s basically a very sophisticated and definitely very expensive marketing tool, but it’s obviously working a treat.

Dubai remains one of the most visited locations in the world.

And yes, that is partly also because people want to take pictures of the police Mercedes SLRs and the police Lamborghini Aventadors and the police Bugattis Veyrons.

In fact, Business Insider once quoted the Chief of Police saying these high-end cars are there to ‘act classy with the people’.

The list of Dubai police cars is a saga

The list of exotic cars Dubai police can use is a saga and it includes practically every luxury brand you can think of, and then some.

Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, and the list goes on.

Most of them are supercars, but there are also SUVs like the G-Wagen or the Ferrari Purosangue, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, or the Bentley Bentayga.

The only high-profile names that aren’t there are probably just Koenigsegg and Pagani.

But everything else is there.

They even use Aston Martin One-77s – limited to 77 units – and Bugatti Veyron.

In addition to that, they also use custom vehicles built by equally high-profile tuning companies like Brabus or Mansory, as well pony cars like the Chevy Camaro or the Dodge Challenger.

Interestingly, the list also features electric cars.

They use the Lotus Emeya and Lotus Eletre, the Audi RS e-tron GT, the Mercedes EQS 580, and then there are both Chinese and American cars, including the Lucid Air Grand Touring and the Tesla Cybertruck.
