This world’s largest beach project is going to be so big, it will stretch along 72 kilometers of coastline.
That’s longer than three football fields lined up next to each other!
Even more impressively, they’re going to plant over 100 million trees, putting a massive forest right next to the beach!
So, why is Dubai doing this?
Of course, it will be a big tourist attraction, but they also want to make sure their city stays strong and safe.
Trees can help stop giant waves from coming onto the land, and they can soak up to 1.23 million tonnes of CO2 in the air.
Dubai knows how to keep developing while saving nature.
But back to the beach – there’s going to be a special hub where you can learn about all about the natural habitat of the area.
This beach is going to make Dubai even more famous than it already is, attracting tourists from around the world.
The company behind the project is URB.
Those unfamiliar with URB may find their portfolio impressive.
URB is a renowned developer with notable projects such as The Loop, a 58-mile cycling highway enclosed in a glass tube.
But Dubai isn’t the only city with big plans.
Saudi Arabia has its own project called NEOM, a massive development plan to rework the barren desert land into something extraordinary.
Coming back to Dubai, let’s not forget all the other amazing things it has.
From the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world to the Palm Jumeirah, and even a mansion with an underwater garage, Dubai really is a home for modern architecture.
