This man compared his fake Temu McLaren to the real thing, and the amount of differences surprised him.
Chris Slix got his hands on a McLaren 650S which he was modifying to resemble a 675LT.
Slix wanted to get his car looking like the real deal, so he had to look out for differences between the two.
Suffice it to say that some of the differences were minor, but others were much more jarring.

The differences between a McLaren 675LT and the Temu imposter
Joining Slix to break down the differences between the McLaren 675LT and its Temu doppelganger was fellow YouTuber Shmee150.
The first thing they noted was that the McLaren 675LT had branding on the inside of the headlight.
“It would not be the end of the world if I was to miss that detail,” Slix said.
“[But] to someone who knows their cars, that would be a telltale sign.”

The front of the cars were also quite different, although Slix insisted that the makers of the duplicate had done a good job on the whole.
The ‘cereal bowl’ bonnet of the Temu version being the most obvious giveaway.
The difference is also striking on the back of the car too.
As Slix put it: “The [675LT]’s back-end is night and day”.
“The 650 essentially has the MP4 end and looks old now.”

It made for a nice view – certainly nicer than the back of the VW Geparada.
But how did things look on the inside of the car?
Comparing the interiors
There are several distinct differences in the interiors of these cars.
Whilst the AC controls are in the door of the 650S, they are in the center of the 675LT.

The personalized plaque of the 675LT was missing from the Temu version.
To get one would cost approximately $1,897.
There’s also the P1 style seats that are lacking in the 650S.
All in all, there’s still quite a way to go before Slix’s ‘fake’ car is a carbon copy of the original 675LT.

Using Temu to put together the conversion was the cheaper option, as sourcing them from McLaren would have set Slix back around $170,000.
Given that he’d previously bought a car had been through four crashes and was the ‘worst McLaren money can buy’, this latest project shouldn’t be too much of a challenge.
