Lexus is gearing up to say a fond farewell to the Lexus RC and RC F with a final special edition version- the imaginatively named Lexus RC F Final Edition.
The Lexus RC was unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show and went into production in 2014.
Lexus has sold more than 90,000 units in 62 countries and regions.
Now – a decade on – Lexus has announced it is retiring the nameplate, but not before releasing one final special edition vehicle later this year.

The RC and RC F are bowing out at the end of the year
Saying goodbye to long-running nameplates is all part of the automotive industry – in recent years, we’ve seen the Dodge Charger and Challenger bow out, as well as the iconic Audi R8.
And the Lexus RC and RC F are set to go the same way, with 2025 being the final model year for the vehicles.
But Lexus is determined to ensure the duo goes out with a bang and has announced the Lexus RC F Final Edition.
“Offering consumers one last taste of their exhilarating performance and unparalleled grace, the RC and RC F will cross the proverbial finish line in harmony as 2025 comes to a close,” Lexus has said.
Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?
The Lexus RC F Final Edition is set to be an impressive motor
The original Lexus RC F was offered as a high-performance alternative to the RC and came with a 5.0 liter V8.
For the model year 2025, the Lexus RC F Final Edition will undergo ‘mechanical and aesthetic enhancements’ but keeping with tradition will hold onto its 5.0 liter V8 that is capable of producing 472 horsepower and can do 0-60mph (0-96km/h) in just 4.2 seconds.
It will be available in four exterior colors: Incognito, Radiant Red, Sonic Iridium, and Ultra White.
It also comes with triple-beam LED headlamps, a carbon fiber roof, side rocker panels, front spoiler and rear diffuser, lightweight 19 inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and black automatic electric folding door mirrors as standard.
Inside, you’ll find a bespoke black and red leather/Ultrasuede-trimmed interior alongside an impressive sound system and a 10.3 inch infotainment touchscreen
The standard Lexus RC line-up is set to undergo only ‘minor changes for the 2025 model year’.
The line-up includes the RC 300, which comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that makes 241 horsepower; the RC 300 AWD which has a 260 horsepower 3.5 liter V6; and the RC 350 and RC 350 AWD that each has a 3.5 liter V6 creating up to 311 horsepower.
Lexus has said first deliveries of the new RCs and the RC F Final Edition are expected in the latter half of the year.
