This man bought a Ferrari V8 for $670 off Facebook Marketplace, despite having a ton of reasons not to do so.
When someone takes a chance on a second-hand vehicle, there’s always a ton of stuff they have to weigh up before making the jump.
For YouTuber Lee Lockwood, this Ferrari was a total impulse purchase.
But would he soon be experiencing buyers remorse?

What did this YouTuber have on his hands when he bought a $670 Ferrari V8?
On his channel, Lockwood has worked on a lot of projects that were out of his comfort zone, and he picked up a lot of skills along the way, from welding to wiring.
He now had a new project to get stuck into, but he was nervous about it as he’d purchased it without doing much research.
This was pretty unorthodox, we have to admit.

You see, he hadn’t purchased a Ferrari outright – he’d bought two Ferrari V8 engines.
And now they were sat in the trunk of his car.
To top it all off, he hadn’t even intended to buy two, as he’d only been expecting one.
Taking a look at the first engine, he found it was an F136 V8 from a Maserati, capable of producing 400hp.

The plan was to build one engine up for a drift car, and turn the other into a V8 coffee table – this isn’t the first time a Ferrari has played a part in home decor.
Unfortunately, it looked like he’d have his work cut out for him with this first engine, as water had evidently entered one cylinder bank and caused rust.
There was nothing left to do except begin taking it apart to access the components.

The video ended on a cliffhanger as Lockwood got a look inside and commented: “That’s not good.”
Let’s hope he can salvage it, or at least get a good-looking Ferrari V8 table out of the other one.
Facebook Marketplace can be very hit or miss
Facebook Marketplace is like the Wild West when it comes to cars.
Or to use another metaphor, it’s Russian Roulette – you never know what you’re going to end up with.
If you’re lucky like this California couple, you could get your hands on a vintage BMW that quickly becomes your dream car.
But things don’t pan out that way for everyone, as these guys learned the hard way with the ‘worst car on Facebook Marketplace’.
And then there’s just the cars that are downright wild – leopard print engines, anyone?
