Man captures one of the final Concorde take-offs as it screams over his neighborhood

The Concorde didn’t just fly, it ripped through the sky like a thunderclap in motion.
This rare home video, filmed from London Heathrow just weeks before its final flight in 2003, shows one of the last take-offs up close… almost too close.
The supersonic jet screams overhead, afterburners flaring, so powerful it actually sets off the cameraman’s car alarm. Take a closer look and you can even see the front wheel bay doors snapping shut as it climbs.
It’s a glimpse of the moment when the world’s fastest passenger jet said its long, loud goodbye. You can watch the clip by Maguirerichardson above.
