The McLaren 720S is one powerhouse of a supercar, but instead of taking to the track, it’s set to be displayed at events in Florida thanks to one set of cops in the Sunshine State.
Cops at the Casselberry Police Department received the generous donation from McLaren Orlando to help promote safety.
The McLaren 720S has some impressive statistics behind it, but the car won’t be zooming the streets this time.
Instead, the cops will use it within the community to help with engagement.

The McLaren 720S now fights crime – with a twist
Supercars have a variety of different uses, from cruising down highways to being displayed at high-end car shows.
Now, though, thanks to cops in Florida, one supercar is set to fight crime… well, sort of.
Casselberry Police, near Orlando, deep in the Sunshine State, have added a McLaren 720S to the force’s fleet of cars, and cops shared the exciting news with social media users.

“Before the rumor mill gets too far ahead: no taxpayer or city funds were used for this vehicle.
“Display opportunities for the McLaren have been generously donated by our local dealership, McLaren Orlando, for community outreach and public education events,” the cops stated in a post.
The McLaren 720S, which has the police department name on the side of the exterior, is set to ‘promote safe driving and positive police community engagement’.
“Keep an eye out, you will be seeing the CPD McLaren at upcoming events, but not on patrol,” the post concluded.

As you can imagine, the post caused some excitement amongst Floridians.
“Imagine being the guy that wants to run from the cops and you see the cops are driving a McLaren,” one person commented.
“Well, at least pull me over in it!! I’d be too busy looking at the car to be mad about any ticket,” said another gearhead.
“The police gonna take you to jail in the front seat, I know, I know it’s not frfr it’s just for fun,” added a third.
The OG supercar police force? Dubai
In the depths of the UAE, lies Dubai, and the city has a serious supercar culture.
One aspect of this is down to the Dubai police force, which has vehicles in its fleet that any gearhead would envy.
In fact, Dubai police even has a one-of-a-kind Mansory Cullinan in its luxury collection of incredible vehicles.
Plus, another car, an impressive Mansory-tuned Mercedes-AMG G63, is also under the force’s belt.
The McLaren 720S will be a welcome addition to the Florida police force, with the supercar capable of reaching 0-60 in just 2.8 seconds, alongside smashing a quarter of a mile in 10.4 seconds.
So, while it is promoting safe driving, the McLaren can still put in a mighty performance.
