This Florida track played host to a Ferrari 812 Superfast and McLaren 675LT going wheel-to-wheel.

And it might just be one of the hottest supercar battles of the summer.

The battle comes to us once again from the Bradenton Motorsports Park.

And the battle is a must-watch from beginning to end.

Florida hosts Ferrari vs McLaren showdown

Today’s story comes to us from the state of Florida.

The ‘Sunshine State’ frequently plays host to some of the biggest car stories in the US.

But this one could be one of the biggest of the summer of 2025.

The Drag Times YouTube channel is known for performing some of the best races on the internet.

And this one could be one of the biggest in recent memory.

Brooks Weisblatt is the host of this petrol-fuelled duelling.

And in his latest video, a Ferrari 812 Superfast takes on a McLaren 675LT.

On paper, this matchup looked like a heavyweight tango of art and science.

Ferrari’s 812 Superfast is powered by a 6.5 liter V12, producing 850hp.

It also weighs just 3,600lbs, so it’s pretty nifty on its feet, too.

And the McLaren in the opposite corner isn’t exactly dull, either.

Its 3.8 liter, twin-turbo V8 produces around 725hp – so, less power.

But also less weight – 300lbs less, as it turns out.

Three races. Two supercars. One winner.

So, what wins – more power with more weight, or less power with less weight?

Three rounds of racing were conducted in order to see who would reign supreme.

Both cars launched dead-even in the first run, but the Ferrari just stole it.

The 812 Superfast finished at 133mph, whilst the McLaren put in a top speed of 131mph.

Interestingly, the second round flipped the script straight away.

The Ferrari red-lighted, handing the McLaren the victory despite a higher trap speed.

The 812 Superfast still got a higher overall speed, but the launch discipline of the McLaren earned it the win.

So that brings us to the final round, with the score sitting at one apiece.

Again, it all comes down to the launch – and the McLaren wins that battle again.

Like the second round, the Ferrari roars to a higher top speed.

But the lightness and launch discipline of the McLaren 675LT is enough to win out.

Did you ever think that the less powerful car could win two out of three?
