The owner of a Ford F-350 has revealed the truck’s hidden features – and there’s a good chance you might not have ever known they existed.

The F-350 is part of Ford’s F-Series Super Duty and was originally launched for the model year 1999.

In that range, the F-250 and F-450 are offered as pickup trucks, while the F-350 is a chassis cab, alongside the F-600.

And it turns out that the popular trucks have several neat features that you may never have even heard of.

The Ford F-350 is hiding some pretty cool features

The Ford F-350 Super Duty truck is, as the name suggests, a more heavy-duty option over the consumer-oriented Ford F-150 – once America’s best-selling vehicle.

Ford F-350 owner Trevor Jones – who runs the Lyfe Untethered YouTube channel – revealed some neat little features on the Ford that you might be unaware of.

While he drives a 2018 Ford F-350, Trevor said that most of these tricks will work on any of the Ford F-Series trucks built after 2015.

He kicked off the clip, by showing how you can open the truck’s windows just by using your keys – a very handy option if it happens to be a hot day.

Trevor explained that to get the feature to work, you just need to hit the unlock button on your key, but then hold it down on the second tap and – ta-dah! – the windows will roll down.

You can also roll the windows back up by holding down the lock button, but Trevor said that particular feature didn’t work on his truck.

Now, anyone who buys a Ford truck will know that they offer plenty of storage space, but there could be even more than you thought.

Trevor pointed out several extra storage areas, including tucked away behind the backseats and under the central console.

The truck has a Sports Mode that can be easily activated

Next up, he highlighted how to ‘enhance’ the reverse camera by simply hitting the little + button on the screen to give a much closer view of where you’re backing into. Smart.

Trevor then showed truck owners how to turn off – or on – the Gear View mode.

When it’s on, the Gear View mode displays on the truck’s screen what gear you’re in, which is pretty useful.

To turn it on or off, the button is tucked away on the shifter and you can also use that same button to manually change gear while you’re driving.

Want to put your Ford F-Series into Sport Mode?

Well, Trevor knows how – you can simply hit the Traction Control button twice and you’re good to go.

The Ford owner went on to say that putting the truck into Sport Mode lowers its traction control and ‘you can do burnouts and donuts probably a lot easier’.

There you have it!
