New Jersey man goes to Porsche dealership for a new car and unexpectedly ends up buying a $655K Lamborghini Revuelto

Most people would be pretty happy walking into a Porsche dealership and leaving with a brand-new 911, but one man somehow managed to leave with a Lamborghini Revuelto.

New Jersey car dealer George J Saliba somehow managed to turn a very expensive day into an even more expensive one.

He had gone to Porsche of Paul Miller to collect a new 992.2 Porsche 911 GTS Cabriolet after securing the car at sticker price.

Instead, he ended up negotiating over a $693,000 Lamborghini – and eventually agreed to buy it for $655,000.

He went to Porsche for a 911 and spotted a Lamborghini

George J Saliba had originally gone to the New Jersey Porsche dealership to take delivery of his new 911 GTS supercar.

The car was something of a last-minute purchase after he received a call offering him a 992.2 911 GTS at sticker price.

But while he was being shown around the dealership, he noticed something rather more exotic sitting in the delivery area.

It was a Lamborghini Revuelto that had arrived as a trade-in the night before.

The dealership told Saliba the car had a sticker price of around $693,000 and had only covered about 1,700 miles.

Naturally, Saliba wanted to know if it was for sale.

The $693K Lamborghini Revuelto quickly became a $655K deal

Saliba initially floated an offer of $650,000 for the Revuelto, despite the dealership saying it wanted closer to sticker price.

He then settled on $655,000 and began negotiating directly with the person responsible for the car.

The Revuelto had been fully paint-protection filmed and was finished in a gray color that Saliba wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about.

In fact, he openly admitted that he wasn’t a fan of the color during the negotiation.

That didn’t stop him from trying to make the deal happen, though.

When the seller pushed for $657,000, Saliba refused to move from his $655,000 offer.

“655 and we’re good,” he said during the call.

The seller ultimately agreed to the figure, subject to approval from the dealership’s corporate wholesale team.

The timing couldn’t have been better

There was another reason the surprise Lamborghini purchase suddenly made sense.

Saliba had just sold another expensive vehicle and was waiting for the money to come in, meaning the cash could effectively be recycled straight into the Revuelto.

He joked that the timing was a sign that the Lamborghini was meant to be his.

The Revuelto wasn’t completely stock, either.

The car had an aftermarket exhaust setup, although the team was putting the original catalytic converters back on.

Saliba also joked about how quickly the car had gone from sitting inside a Porsche dealership to potentially becoming part of his own inventory.

By the end of the day, the Porsche delivery had gone ahead and the Lamborghini deal was being finalized.

Saliba later described the whole thing as an unexpected purchase that simply appeared in front of him.

And considering he had only gone to the dealership to pick up a Porsche, it’s difficult to imagine a more expensive impulse buy.
