Imagine being the owner of a supercar and hypercar collection, worth $1.5 billion, and then suddenly deciding that you want the public to come and have a look.
It sounds fanciful, doesn’t it?
Well, remarkably, this isn’t a story of fiction, but actual reality, thanks to German billionaire Friedhelm Loh, who decided the world needed to see his amazing car collection.
Loh opened the doors to his huge array of automobiles in Frankfurt in 2023, creating the ultimate museum experience, with many of these cars being seen in public for the first time.

How Friedhelm Loh opened his $1.5 billion car collection
The cars have formed the Nationales Auto Museum – The Loh Collection, which opened in July 2023 by Loh.
Loh was able to amass his fortune via the family industrial group.
He transformed it into a major holding company, with 90 subsidiaries around the world and 12,500 employees.

With a love of cars and huge wealth, it was only natural that he’d amass a monster collection over the course of his life.
In 2023, though, Loh decided the time was right to show off the cars.
That led to the creation of the museum an hour from Frankfurt.

This utterly incredible collection now resides at an old foundry, revitalized and turned into a stunning museum.
The location blends older buildings with more modern structures, creating a pleasing juxtaposition.
At the heart of it is the Loh Collection, and there are 130 cars in total from 50 manufacturers.
This is what the $1.5 billion supercar and hypercar collection contains
You are probably wondering what this collection houses.
Well, luckily for you, we can tell you some of the highlights.
The oldest car in the museum is a 1895 Benz Viktoria, in original condition.
This car was a development of the very first Benz and the first to have four wheels.

Totally different are cars such as the incredible Maybach Exelero concept are also on display.
Our very own Alex Hirschi, AKA Supercar Blondie, was once able to drive this epic car.
Designed to test tires for Fulda, this monster machine has a 5.9-liter twin-turbocharged V12 under the hood.
Supercars also form part of the museum, with everything from the Bugatti Veyron to the Lamborghini Miura.
Loh is also a massive racing fan, and naturally, there are plenty of race cars in the museum.

The Ferrari F1-2000, the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, and a Le Mans 24 Hours-winning Audi R8 are highlights.
The Audi, in fact, is the only one to have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans that is not in the Audi collection.
For $30 to get in, you can look at $1.5 billion worth of cars.
We think that’s a price very much worth paying to view this supercar and hypercar collection.
