This man bought a military surplus Humvee at auction and fitted it with a supercharger to create a completely unique off-roading vehicle.

The guys from Grind Hard Plumbing Co. bought the cheapest military Humvee they could find.

After snapping the vehicle up at auction, they attempted to drive it 1,500 miles home – but things didn’t quite go to plan.

After getting it back up and running they decided to turn ‘one of the worst Humvees into one of the best’ with the help of a supercharger.

The military surplus Humvee was prime for a transformation

The team from the Grind Hard Plumbing Co. YouTube channel is no stranger to unique builds, they previously created this wild-looking Monster Chopper and transformed a dinky Chang Li pickup truck – into an off-road beast.

So, when they found a cheap used Humvee for sale on a Government website, they quickly snapped it up.

However, they soon realized why it came with such a low price tag after the vehicle broke down just hours after they bought it.

Undeterred, and after ‘much struggle’, they managed to get it back up and running and decided to give it a complete transformation under the hood.

It got a new engine and a supercharger

They kicked off by taking out the truck’s original engine and replacing it with one from a C6 Corvette.

And they didn’t stop there – they boosted the Humvee even further by chucking in a supercharger from a Cadillac STS-V.

‘Probably the most exciting days of the Humvee’s life,’ one of the team declared as he took a closer look at the supercharger.

Although the path to supercharging the truck didn’t exactly run smoothly – it was eventually fitted and ready to roar.

With the beefed-up vehicle all set, the team took it out onto the snow to give its newly boosted engine a test drive.

So, how did the Humvee handle all this extra power?

Well, let’s just say that it looked like a whole lot of fun – albeit more than a little bit scary.

The truck appeared to struggle to gain any traction at all as it glided across the snow-covered ground.

“This thing is kind of unpredictable,” the driver admitted.

“It’s four-wheel drive, like, totally randomly – so we’ll get grip, and then suddenly we won’t.”
