After buying his girlfriend’s old Toyota for $100 and ripping it up for parts, this incredible year-long project has transformed the banger into a homemade Koenigsegg Jesko supercar.

Homemade cars are quite easy to identify.

But this Vietnamese YouTube channel has become an expert at making unrecognizable dupes of the leading supercars.

Now, they’ve taken an old Toyota and its engine to craft a Jesko, and the homemade Koenigsegg supercar is stellar.

This homemade Koenigsegg supercar is a piece of art

We’ve seen hundreds of attempts to build replicas of the most famous supercars out there.

Some, like this Lykan Hypersport in India, are beautiful budget-value mockups.

Others, such as this Cybertuck, have ended in tears.

But NHẾT TV has prior experience in this field, and has now eyed up making a Koenigsegg Jesko.

The base of the project came from this banged-up Toyota, where they ripped out the engine and got to work on building a new frame.

Using clay to shape the bodywork, they used a mixture of materials to create the panels before welding together specialist pieces.

But this was no slapdash creation.

Over the year-long process, NHẾT TV went the whole hog, crafting hinges to have the signature winged Jesko door opening, among many other minor details.

Of course, there is one detail that wasn’t true to the original, as the homemade Koenigsegg supercar runs on a Toyota engine, which falls short in recreating the record-breaking speeds of the Jesko.

A year-long graft paid off

The final product was spectacular.

From the exterior alone, the homemade Koenigsegg supercar wouldn’t look out of place among other multi-million-dollar Jeskos.

Given their track record with the likes of this Pagani Huayra, it’s little surprise that the car is so well made.

Now, all that is left is to take a leaf out of this DIY Ferrari’s book and find some rocket power to match the real deal.
