Come with us as we take you on a guided tour inside the UK Bentley factory.
The luxury brand has been creating cars for many years and has specific processes in place to ensure high quality cars roll out of the factory every single day.
Thanks to Walter Owen Bentley establishing Bentley Motors in London on January 20, 1919, the company has become one of the most loved in the world.
But what really goes into crafting a luxury Bentley model?

The brand produces some luxury powerhouses
Bentley cars are loved by gearheads worldwide, with the rich and famous getting in on the action too.
Plus, soccer star Harry Kane put his old Bentley Continental GT Supersports up for sale at a cut price.
But what actually goes on when these cars are made?
Well, let’s have a look.
The Bentley Factory
The Bentley Factory is located in Crewe, Cheshire, and has been the home of the luxury automobile since 1946, with the first car to be produced called the Mark V1.
The company was then obtained by the Volkswagen Group in 1998, who invested in the factory.

The Pyms Lane factory covers a large amount of ground that is all used for manufacturing exclusive models.
It spans 521,111m2, and it is also home to the company’s flagship showroom called ‘The Bentley Boutique’.
The factory is green, too, with 20,815 solar panels on the factory roof, and 10,000 solar panels in the UK’s largest solar powered car port being able to produce a whopping 65 percent of the electricity.
That’s enough to power 12,000 homes for 12 months – impressive right?

Crafting a Bentley luxury automobile
The Bentley factory creates an admirable number of cars every single day, with the average daily load consisting of 33 Bentaygas and Continental GTs, which take about 110 hours to build – plus 18 Flying Spurs.
As you can imagine, the famous W12 engine is no mean feat to put together either, with six and a half hours and 45 skilled people needed to assemble the powerhouse, all before being tested by three specialist pieces of machinery.

When it comes to the interior, Bentley takes the quality of its materials seriously.
In fact, every sheet of wood in a car comes from the same tree, to ensure consistency and quality with pattern and color, and all it’s down to a wood specialist’s expert eye.
Due to their detailed processes, Bentley is ‘recognised as the centre of excellence for wood, leather, and W12 engine manufacture within the Volkswagen Group’, according to the site itself.
And if that wasn’t enough, every auto goes through an extensive 500-650 point checklist before it is bid it’s final farewell, ‘dependent on options’ and is also tested on a rolling road.
So, it’s no wonder that the cars are loved by car enthusiasts and lovers of luxury all across the world.
We’re certainly impressed by how the cars are made – would you visit the factory if you had the chance?
