Apple has hidden tonnes of smartphone secrets that fly completely under the radar, but this iPhone feature that has defied logic has left its users baffled.

Throughout the years, Apple has made a string of incredible phones.

So much so that they have sold over three billion iPhones.

But none of those three billion people noticed one hidden iPhone feature until this week.

Apple iPhone feature is freaking people out

The new iOS 26 update is ready to bring some wild new tech to the iPhone and Apple’s collaborative gadgets.

Namely, the phone screen is getting a huge overhaul, while integration with CarPlay is being upgraded, and the most recent AirPods are getting some much-needed love.

But one everyday feature is currently the talk of the town.

After years of setting alarms, one person has gone viral for finding out that the selection of times is actually a long list, rather than the assumed endless loop.

A video posted on TikTok broke the news to the world, and it has since attracted millions of views.

While this might be quite an insignificant piece of coding, the iPhone feature has sent its users into a frenzy.

“My life is a lie?” said one comment.

Others are now fretting about the end of the world.

“Why does it end at 4:39??? What’s gonna happen at 4:39??” a second person commented.

People have claimed that this is because there are 1,000 digits in total on the lists, and it naturally falls on 4:39 when spread out evenly.

“Would you say it was…alarming?” a third joked.

More iPhone secrets

This iPhone feature isn’t the only secret Apple has been hiding.

Most obviously, it’s taken years for people to even figure out why the brand uses the ‘i’ prefix, despite Steve Jobs saying it in Apple’s i-nfancy.

Former employees have also revealed some other nuggets of information that completely transform the iPhone experience.

Even CarPlay has hidden elements, such as the motion sickness accessibility option.

iOS 26 will only continue to bring more wonderful iPhone features, as the savvy Apple product is slowly becoming our third hand.
