Jay Leno is renowned for his love of cars, but don’t be fooled – his 180-strong car collection doesn’t live life as a bunch of garage queens.

All of his cars are tagged, insured, and road-ready, guaranteeing that they can be driven on a whim.

In the years since he left late-night TV, the 75-year-old has been keeping himself very busy with cars.

And honestly, what could be better than that?

Which cars does Jay Leno count among his 180-vehicle collection?

Over the years, Jay Leno has looked at a whole variety of cars of all shapes and sizes.

He has stepped into the driving seat of a hypercar created as an ‘anti-EV statement’, the ‘most American’ Ferrari, and what could be the world’s first supercar, to name just a few.

But all of those pale in comparison when contrasted with the scale of Leno’s personal garage.

There’s a reason his collection is the third most popular with Google searchers, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo and Bill Gates.

His collection is estimated to be around $100 million, and that figure alone is staggering.

But let’s take a closer look at what cars he actually owns.

On the older side of things is his Ford Model T from 1925, which he once taught his producer how to drive.

Sure, it’s 100 years old, but it was the ‘iPhone of the day’ in Leno’s words.

Then there’s the incredibly rare 1992 Lotus Carlton, which was never officially sold in the US and was almost banned by the British government.

At any rate, it’s now in Leno’s possession – and what a beauty it is.

‘The sort of car guy most of us wish we could be’

The best thing about Leno’s car collection is that it gets used.

These cars aren’t just sitting around in a vast garage collecting dust – they’re hitting the streets of Los Angeles.

As such, Leno has been spotted out and about in them from time to time.

One man saw him driving in a pre-war 1930s Bentley, marking him out in a crowd of Teslas and SUVs.

“You’re not from LA if you haven’t randomly seen the Legend Jay Leno cruising around at least once in your life,” the man who saw him wrote.

This sentiment has been echoed elsewhere on the internet, as one commenter demonstrated.

“Often spotted Jay at the 76 station at Coldwater and Ventura, as well as a few ‘Hi, how are ya’s at the Rock Store and Newcombs,” they wrote.

“Decent fella. I think he’s the sort of car guy most of us wish we could be.”

But if you’re holding out hope of seeing the late-night legend in a Ferrari, you can forget about it.

While his collection includes brands like McLaren, Lamborghini, and Bentley, he has not added any Ferraris to his collection, as he didn’t like the ‘VIP hoops’ he would have to jump through.

Different strokes for different folks.

But with vehicles ranging from the 1963 Chevy Corvette Stingray to the 1929 Bentley Speed Six and the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C, we don’t think Leno will be left wanting anytime soon.
