Jay Leno was the first person to test the new Tesla Model Y for himself.

The new model is set to be better than ever for 2026.

It’s set to be quieter and more streamlined than any model before.

But will it live up to expectations?

According to Tesla, the Model Y was already the best selling car on the planet.

And, with it’s new fancy features including ‘acoustic glass’, motorists are not going to know what has hit them.

Jay said: “That’s what I like about Tesla, they really understand manufacturing.”

The car is set to be quicker and comes with a better ride quality, the EV manufacturer claims.

And, Tesla has improved the car based on what it’s loyal customers have had to say.

New features include Matrix headlights and even self-cleaning cameras to get the job done for a smoother, safer drive.

Jay’s favorite part of the car, however, is the rear.

It features the world’s first lightbar.

Taking inspiration from the Tesla Cybertruck, the bar is set to illuminate the roads, making a new seamless experience with the taillights being completely overhauled.

The trunk is also ready to redefine expectations with it’s hands-free opening and better storage than before.

In the video, the Tesla personnel that joined Jay say that the Model Y line will only get bigger as time goes on.

The Launch edition will grace the globe first, before other editions slowly but surely come into play.

New suspension will also make rides smoother than ever, with every drive making full use of the cutting-edge technology.

New noise improvements make the car really quiet, and comes complete with new luxurious interior.

If that wasn’t enough, the roof has better low-emissivity glass (low-e) which will help to stop up to 30 percent heat from entering the interior to enjoy alongside a 16-speaker audio system.

However, something to bear in mind is the lack of spare tire – so ride steady.

The 2026 Tesla Model Y is set to be priced at about $46,000, so get ready to splash the cash.
