Believe it or not, there’s a way in which you can keep your iPhone’s battery health at 100 percent.

The battery health on iPhones has always been a contentious topic, especially in the last couple of years, with many users reporting significant declines in battery health percentage.

Things improved with the iPhone 16, but the previous two generations seemed particularly problematic.

However, YouTuber Brandon Butch noted that this trick has enabled him to achieve over 300 battery cycles on his phone, while retaining 97 percent of its original capacity.

What impacts an iPhone’s battery health?

Battery cycles are one of the biggest things that impact an iPhone’s battery life.

These are the number of times the phone has used a battery’s capacity.

A full cycle is from 100 percent to zero percent battery.

The phones are designed to hold 80 percent of their capacity after 1,000 charges.

But YouTuber Brandon Butch was able to retain 97 percent after over 300 cycles on his iPhone 16 Pro.

Heat is something that badly impacts a lithium-ion battery; the hotter they get, the faster they degrade.

Thankfully, there are plenty of ways in which you can keep your iPhone’s battery in tip-top condition.

This will allow you to enjoy an iPhone’s battery health as long as possible.

How to keep an iPhone battery in peak condition

First of all, you should avoid letting the battery drop below 20 percent on a regular basis, as iPhones prefer to stay between 20 and 80 percent.

Don’t keep the phone at 100 percent all night, and turn off optimized battery.

Keeping the heat down is another way in which the battery’s health can be regulated.

This includes not using the phone while charging and also not leaving the phone in direct sunlight.

Heat really is the biggest enemy of a lithium-ion battery.

Slower chargers are also okay to use, as, while slower, they recharge the battery at a much steadier rate for its health.

Wireless chargers also produce less heat than a regular wired charger does.

So there are plenty of ways in which an iPhone battery can be kept in peak condition.
