Kevin Hart once gifted eight classic cars to his closest friends to show his appreciation to them.
We know what you’re thinking, and the answer is no – applications to become Kevin Hart’s friend are not open.
This heartwarming moment was shown in an episode of his Netflix series Don’t F**k This Up.
Suffice to say, this gifting spree was the furthest thing from screwing things up.
Plenty of celebrities have been generous when it comes to cars
When you have a lot of cash, it’s nice to do something with it that makes people around you happy.
Celebrities have demonstrated that time and time again, often in the form of swanky new cars.
Lil Wayne showed his appreciation to producer Swizz Beatz with a $1.8 million off-roader, while Katy Perry sprung for an electric sports car for her assistants.
And then there’s Oprah of course, who was famous for giving away cars on her show back in the day.
Perhaps nobody is as generous as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who has given out cars to his dad, his uncle, and even his stunt double.
Well, his Jumanji co-star, Kevin Hart, is doing one better by giving away multiple cars at once.
Why was Kevin Hart giving out classic cars to his friends?
The giveaway took place on an episode of Hart’s Netflix series Don’t F**k This Up.
His tight-knit group of friends – nicknamed the Plastic Cup Boyz – had been with him for a while.
Some of them were comedians who had opened for his shows, one was his personal trainer, another was a writer.
Whoever they were, they’d played a part in helping Hart become the mega-success that he is today.
So what better way to thank them with a bunch of classic cars?
How much had Kevin Hart spent on these cars?
These cars were pristine – a Chevrolet Corvette, a Ford Mustang, two Pontiac GTOs, two Chevrolet Chevelles, a Chevrolet Camaro, and a Volkswagen Beetle.
As you might expect, Hart’s friends were left stunned by his generosity.
“I meant it when I said that I love my team,” the comedian declared.
“I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am today if it wasn’t for my team. We’re celebrating, man. And I love the fact that they’re blown away. For me, that’s all I need.”
He reportedly spent around $500,000 on the haul, but it was worth every penny, going off his friends’ reactions.
Plus it’s hardly like Hart has bene left wanting for cash in recent years; he is worth a reported $450 million.
