A Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and Koenigsegg Jesko Attack – seen in above video – have gone head-to-head in a YouTube drag race, showcasing the power of the two hypercars.

The video by Carwow shows the two cars racing each other in fierce competition, with some close results thanks to their evenly matched specs.

Both cars have a combined value of nearly $10 million and some truly ludicrous power and speed statistics.

Of course, the Chiron is the successor to the Bugatti Veyron, with the Jesko following on from the Koenigsegg Agera.

Both hypercars are very evenly matched

The power figures reveal how closely matched the two supercars actually are.

The Chiron Super Sport has an 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine under the hood, making 1,578HP and 1,180LB-FT of torque.

The Koenigsegg Jesko, meanwhile, has an aluminum 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

This engine produces 1,280HP on regular gasoline and can rise to 1,600HP on E85 biofuel.

The Jesko in the video makes the former power figure.

Neither car is cheap. The Jesko Attack starts at $3 million.

The Chiron Super Sport will cost at least $3.7 million, but depending on the spec, it could be nearly $5 million.

The Bugatti and Koenigsegg ran each close in the drag races

In the first race, carwow presenter Mat Watson was behind the wheel of the Chiron, and it shot away from the Koenigsegg thanks to its launch off the line.

The second race, however, was much closer, with the Jesko driver getting a better launch than before.

This time, both crossed the line nearly neck and neck, but the Bugatti edged it..

The Chiron had just a fraction of its front end in front of the Jesko.

However, both ran the quarter mile in 9.6 seconds.

The two cars then did a rolling race from 10MPH to the 1/4 mile and then to the 1/2 mile.

The Chiron was able to use its power more effectively, pulling away from the Jesko to snatch the victory.

The final race, though, was from 62MPH, and this time, the Koenigsegg pulled away first to take its first victory in a fascinating contest.

A quick brake test at the end resulted in another evenly matched finish.

The Bugatti stopped that bit sooner than the Koenigsegg, giving it overall victory after all the races.
