In stock trim, the Mercedes-Benz GLE is a sharply-styled SUV.

Yet somehow, Larte Design has transformed it into a head-turning, fierce monster.

According to the tuning company’s Instagram page, the exclusive project was carried out in collaboration with Custom Tuning.

Larte Design calls this particular colorway ‘Steel’.

Mind you, if Steel isn’t your cup of tea, you can always go for Khaki with orange accents (pictured below, right) or Bumble Bee Yellow (left).

This time round he’s entrusted the tuner to carry out a major customization of his ride.

Starting at the front of the Mercedes GLE, it’s been given a full hood upgrade, a new front bumper, and new fender flares.

At the back, there’s a new roof spoiler, trunk lid spoiler, and rear bumper diffuser.

The Larte Design experts also fitted additional stop signals, and original AMG 53 attachments.

Last, but not least, the car was given a set of 23-inch black forged rims.

The exterior comes in gunmetal gray wrap from CYS, and it features Larte Design’s full carbon fiber ‘Winner’ package.

We’re not quite sure what work, if any, was carried out to the interior of the Larte Design Mercedes GLE.

That being said, it appears to have been given a change of color, as the interior was previously white and now it’s orange.

Under the hood is a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 435hp thanks to the help of an electric motor and compact battery pack.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox that’ll blast the AMG GLE 53 from 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in less than 5.3 seconds.

Larte Design Mercedes GLE pricing and availability

Prices vary depending on how you spec the car because each component can also be purchased individually.

The complete package will set you back around $19,000.

And that’s on top of the $82,000+ you need for Mercedes GLE AMG that serves as a base for the customization.
