This Lamborghini Urus owner and YouTuber, who lives in Las Vegas, took his supercar to a dealer to get a battery issue sorted and was quoted $7,000, so he took matters into his own hands and paid 90 percent less.

The YouTuber loves his Lamborghini Urus and even though it has 65,000 miles on the clock, he still finds the driving experience fun and comfortable.

While he does love it, there are always persistent issues with it, so he always tries to fix his supercar himself, as taking it to a dealer can be a very expensive ordeal.

This time, the battery needed changing, and he wasn’t going to let the dealer do it for an extortionate $7,000, instead, he took matters into his own hands and fixed the battery for 90 percent less than the quote.

The Lamborghini Urus fix would cost a whopping $7,000

The Lamborghini Urus is an interesting supercar – although it should more accurately be described as a Super SUV – because they can be tricky beasts, as this Las Vegas based YouTuber found out.

Robert C. Moseley, aka Videobob Moseley on YouTube, has had issues with his 2019 Lamborghini Urus since the moment he bought it.

Although it can do 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds, run a quarter mile in 11.7 seconds, and has a maximum speed of 190MPH, there have been warning lights on the dashboard from day dot.

He does genuinely love driving his Lambo and believes the driving experience is fun and comfortable. It’s just that the repair costs at the dealer were racking up – and they aren’t cheap.

A 90 percent discount on the repairs

Robert started noticing an issue with his Urus, in particular the battery – it wasn’t charging properly and sometimes not at all.

He decided to take it to a dealer to see if they could fix it for him. But when he was there, he was told that just the battery alone would cost him $5,000.

That’s before you add in the technicians who were paid hourly.

The YouTuber decided that he would take matters into his own hands.

And even though he was warned that replacing the battery would be difficult because of its location in the Urus’ footwell, he could cut the wires, remove and replace it, just like diffusing a bomb.

Robert successfully managed to get the new battery in, secured, and working.

But the dashboard was still lit up like a Christmas tree with warning lights. So he cleared the codes and realized for the first time since having it, the Lambo was displaying no warning lights at all.

The whole repair ended up costing Robert $600, a 90 percent discount from the $7,000 he was quoted from the dealer, an absolute bargain.
