Lego is celebrating a very special anniversary of the Cars movie, so to mark the occasion, it has released its own Lightning McQueen.

Avid movie fans can now get their hands on the $30 set from the start of 2026 and have a Lego bright red car to call their own.

It’s all in aid of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the first film’s release, happening next year.

But it’s not the only car that has been in Lego’s thoughts.

Lightning McQueen in Lego form?

When it comes to movies about vehicles, there are many famous options, but arguably the most loved is Disney’s Cars.

In fact, the release of the movie was almost two decades ago, so to celebrate reaching the milestone, Lego has gotten in on the action with a Lightning McQueen model set to be released.

“This construction set for boys and girls ages nine and up includes many of the design details from the iconic movie character.

“The Disney model features Lightning McQueen’s famous yellow and orange lightning bolt, number 95, Rust-Eze sponsor logo, tires imprinted with ’Lightyear’ and his famous headlight stickers,” according to Lego.

But that’s not all, it also has a detailed undercarriage – fancy, right?

The very first Cars movie was released in 2006 and gave the gift of Lightning McQueen to the world.

Since then, a total of five films have been released within the franchise, which even included planes, too.

The Lego set of Lightning McQueen will set you back £22.99 ($31.13) and is set to be shipped from January 1st, 2026, so get your preorder in quick.

This isn’t the only exciting Lego creation in the car world

Thanks to its versatility, Lego can be used to make a variety of different things, which is great news for gearheads.

So, aside from Lightning McQueen, the company has been used by car lovers to reinvent everything from the chassis to the hood.

For example, this mind-blowing Ferrari F1 car is made of almost 400,000 LEGO bricks.

Plus, we can’t forget that Lego has also released this $26 model of the $8 million Bugatti Centodieci hypercar, so fans can own a tiny version.
