Finally racing in red

With one of the most decorated careers in racing history, Lewis Hamilton started a new chapter today, celebrating his first day at Scuderia Ferrari.

Not only has the racing superstar driven with Ferrari, but he’s also had an incredibly successful career driving for McLaren between 2007 and 2012, where he won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship, as well as with Mercedes, where he won the Formula One World Drivers’ Championship a record-equalling six times.

In an emotional post on Instagram, the driver wrote: “[A] part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise [sic] that dream today”.

Hamilton is certaibly no stranger to expensive cars, selling his Pagani Zonda for $2 million.

The Ferrari F40

The Ferrari F40 has also been in the media recently, following allegations that it is fairly difficult to drive.

The acceleration speed has also been called into question, with driver’s complaining that it is pulling away too slowly.

Although, it’s probably still a good deal quicker than the cars any of us own, right?

It may have been seen as a controversial post by Lewis Hamilton to pose in front of a car that is associated with these problems.

Lewis Hamilton has been discussing F1 recently and letting fans know what he really thinks of Brad Pitt’s driving.

It’s clear that the driver is ready for his new era at Ferrari, and F1 fans wait with bated breath to see what will happen in this exciting new chapter for both Ferrari and Hamilton.
