This man bought the cheapest Mercedes AMG V8 available and tried his best to fix it.
But, the car wasn’t in the best shape.
He had a big task on his hands to help the AMG get road ready, with a whole list of issues to mend.
Did he manage to solve the problems? Let’s take a look shall we?

Mercedes AMG has created some impressive cars
The Mercedes catalogue contains all manner of engines, from supercars to daily drivers.
In fact, Mercedes AMG’s upcoming electric supercar concept could become one of the fastest vehicles ever in its history.
Plus, its first fully electric supercar even had red exhaust pipes – quite striking you have to admit.
This man had a whole different task on his hands, though, when he tried to fix up a broken V8 AMG.
He bought an E55 AMG Wagon
The guys over on the Top Dead Centre YouTube channel took on the challenge, with a few hurdles set to come their way.
It cost just $510.70 (£400) – which seems like a good deal right?
Well, considering the long list of elements that needed fixing, the bang for his buck may be subjective.
The car wasn’t in the best shape – with rusted arches, a rear door fault, and a ‘horrible’ sound from an exhaust, to name a few issues.

So, he got stuck in and started removing parts and trying to replace them in a bid to get the car fighting fit again.
The creator removed the headers and attempted to replace them with new ones, but they needed some additional work in order to help the car reach its stated goal of 600 horsepower.
Next, he attempted to fix the rear door issue, as it was broken from both inside and outside.
With a bit of force and determination, the creator managed to release the stubborn child-lock features, ready for new parts – which were found locally at a relatively cheap price – to be put into place.
After work on the break and suspension parts, the car started to take shape.
They replaced anything that could have been making the knocking sound, including new brake discs and pads
A new oil filter was also fitted to make it run smoothly, before another task was completed.
That task meant enlisting the help of an exhaust fitter to add the final touches, including some welding work and a new header, which had caused quite an issue at the start.
Overall, it was a success

Miraculously, the guys managed to restore the car and give it a whole new lease of life, which wasn’t bad considering the long list of improvements that had to be made.
There were still a few tasks to complete, but – all in all – it was a job well done.
