This man just purchased the cheapest Rolls-Royce Phantom in the USA, which seems weird to say out loud with ‘cheap’ and ‘Rolls-Royce’ in the same sentence.
He bought a 2005 Rolls-Royce Phantom for $80,000 with 48,000 miles on the odometer.
However, the luxury car had some glaring issues that couldn’t be ignored.
Plus maintaining such a car could’ve been a costly affair if the issues weren’t fixed properly.

Cheapest Rolls-Royce Phantom in the USA
Automotive YouTuber Tyler Hoover bought a ‘cheap’ Rolls-Royce Phantom back in 2018.
At its launch, the car had a base price of $320,000 in 2005.
So considering the original price, it may seem cheap to get it at $80,000.
However, maintaining such a luxury car can be quite expensive and increase its true cost.
Plus the car also had its fair share of issues when it was bought.
However, Hoover is not the only one who got a nice deal on a luxury car as recently another YouTuber bought the cheapest Rolls-Royce Phantom in the UK for £45,000 ($55,598).
Trouble in paradise
As for Hoover’s Rolls-Royce Phantom, the main issue it had was an adaptive air suspension error that appeared on the instrument panel at startup.
Replacing the air suspension components usually costs a fortune since luxury car parts are hard to come by.
However, Hoover is quite experienced with fixing expensive cars for quite cheap, as that is how he built his car collection.
The Rolls-Royce also had an issue with the iDrive infotainment system but other than that, the car was still in quite good shape.
The luxury car featured a 6.75-liter V12 engine that still worked fine.
Even the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament still went into hiding at the push of a button.
So ignoring all the issues, it seems like a sensible purchase that Hoover wouldn’t regret.
