Man is currently building his dream yacht from scratch, his progress so far is nuts

Building a yacht is no easy task, yet this man is building one—that too from scratch—and it’s not your everyday boat.

All in all, it’s a luxury yacht on which you could spend an entire weekend without worrying about the world.

Naturally, the process is extensive and not something you could complete in a matter of weeks.

However, this yacht is coming along fairly well and might just be one of the coolest projects we’ve seen in a while.

YouTuber building his dream yacht from scratch

A YouTube channel that goes by ‘B is for Build’ specializes in custom projects, and the team is working on one of their largest projects yet.

It’s a pontoon-based boat, and it’s the opposite of ‘basic.’

For context, pontoon-based vessels allow their designers to go wild with their creativity and and implement large decks easily.

The guys from the team did precisely that and are documenting every step of the process in videos on the channel.

This to-be luxury yacht started off as an idea based on digital renders and mockups, and the team began implementing it.

So far, they have a 44-foot long and 12-foot wide double-decker pontoon boat — with a hot tub.

You read that right — a hot tub inside a yacht.

If anything, that single-handedly makes it a luxury vessel.

Not your average boat

This project is certainly different from these two DIY yachts that a couple made in their backyard, but those do stand out regardless.

On the topic of homemade boats, this man also built a 100-foot yacht out of industrial steel all by himself.

Who ever knew there were so many enthusiasts out there?

Anyhow, the project from ‘B is for Build’ has certainly come a long way.

They have also put out around 16 videos, and it looks like the boat is nearing completion.

The team further installed a full-fledged barbeque system and a refrigerator — the hardware, including the engines, has already been sorted out.

It will undoubtedly turn out to be a remarkable vessel once it’s done.

As for us, we will just have to wait and see what happens.
