This man ends up getting his hands on KSI’s old Volkswagen Lupo from the Sidemen challenge, and despite the car famously costing £500, he paid a lot more than he expected for it.
The infamous Volkswagen Lupo was up for sale at auction, in exactly the same state KSI left it in after the video. It was dirty, covered in ‘kids on board’ stickers, and had no reserve.
It wasn’t the only listing of note, though, as the YouTuber also saw a Ford GT40 kit car, TVR Chimera, a Focus RS, and loads of other weird and wonderful cars.
He had a car up for sale with a reserve, but he ended up having a nightmare at the auction.

How much did he pay for KSI’s old Volkswagen Lupo?
As a YouTuber, Adam decided that when he attended the Wheeler Dealer Live car show in the UK, he needed to get his hands on KSI’s old Volkswagen Lupo, as his friend desperately wanted it.
The infamous VW came dirty, covered in spray paint and ‘kids on board’ stickers. In fact, it was in the exact condition the famous British YouTube celebrity had left it in.
The car famously cost £500, but was listed with no reserve. Which meant that if Adam played his cards right, he could be taking an iconic piece of internet lore home for next to nothing.
The other listings he saw were full of some weird and wonderful vehicles, too. They included a Ford GT40 kit car, a TVR Chimera, a Focus RS, a Bond Bug, a Cosworth Escort, and more.
Some truly iconic pieces de resistance up for sale were an MX-5 Speedster, an actual Barbie Mini, Hot Wheels toy displays, and a Need for Speed replica BMW M3 GTR.
He ended up paying a lot more than expected
When the VW Lupo came up, the auction started escalating rapidly. So the YouTuber started impulsively bidding, blowing right through his £2,000 ($2,686) limit.
In the end, he won the car but for £5,000 ($6715), 10 times what its worth.
Adam then tried to sell his Mustang, but it didn’t meet its reserve price. He also bid on the TVR Chimera, but the bidding reached £12,500 ($16,788), which was too expensive for him.
The YouTuber had to go home with his tail between his legs and both the car he brought to sell, as well as a seriously overpriced Volkswagen Lupo covered in graffiti. That’s not a great day at the auction, we have to say.
