This man has created a Frankenstein monster by merging two iconic beasts – a Dodge Hellcat and a Tesla Model S Plaid.
The car combines the best of both worlds: the Hellcat’s famous unibody and the all-electric powertrain of the Tesla.
The result is the Cybercat, a slightly strange-looking yet surprisingly functional experimental vehicle.
It’s quite something, to say the least.

When ICE meets EV
YouTuber Kyle Wade – also known as BoostedBoiz – is known for his out-there builds and modifications.
Never one to follow convention, he recently teased plans to turbocharge a Cybertruck.
His latest project flips that concept, transplanting a Hellcat’s body onto a Tesla’s powertrain.
Before any purists get too mad, it’s important to note that the Hellcat was a junkyard shell to begin with.
Wade took it into his shop and began the process of transplanting a Tesla Plaid’s powertrain into it.
This isn’t the first time Wade has favored Tesla’s tri-motor setup, having previously created the ‘Plaidessey’ by swapping in a Honda Odyssey.
While it’s not quite finished yet, the Cybercat, or E-Kitty, drives well and is actually lighter than the original 4,813-pound Plaid, weighing in at 4,330 pounds.
The future of the Tesla Hellcat
The battery life of the Cybercat is still unconfirmed, but it’s already been taken for a successful test drive.
It can do rolling and standing launches, with the body remaining steady when the driver accelerates.
It’s also unclear what the car will inherit from its parents, like whether it will maintain the Plaid’s 0 to 60 mph time.
The car’s value is yet to be determined, but it will probably be worth less than the $90,000 Tesla.
Hellcat’s aren’t cheap either, with a new Charger Hellcat Jailbreak going for $87,000.
Something about the Hellcat’s body makes it a modifier’s dream, as seen in this red one that got transformed into a boat.
Wade’s fans are eagerly awaiting the day the Cybercat is race-track ready.
“Gotta name it the Cellcat like battery cells,” one commenter said.
“Need to find a Hellcat swapped Tesla Model S to race now,” another commenter said.
