This Missouri man had a delicious burger interrupted when he had the cops called on him after he flew his helicopter to try out a new restaurant.
As was the norm for this guy, he hopped in his two-seater R22 helicopter with the doors off and landed in his usual spot, the field behind a burger restaurant.
Even though he was allowed to land there and had completed all the appropriate safety checks, the flash of red and blue announced the arrival of some unwanted guests to his delicious burger meal.
Confused but calm, the pilot realized the cops were probably there for him. But he seemed to take it in his stride, all things considered.

He flew his helicopter to go and get a burger
This YouTuber from Missouri is known for getting around his area in a somewhat…unconventional way, by flying around in his doorless Robinson R22 helicopter.
In a recent video, he decided he was going to head to a burger restaurant to check out a new menu offering, but when he arrived, his delicious meal was interrupted.
The pilot wanted some ‘filler footage‘ and so he set a course in his little two-seater helicopter to a local burger joint called High Point Burgers.
He’d landed in the grassy patch behind the diner many times; it’s a location that usually goes unnoticed by diners, and as he touched down after carefully navigating between power lines, he noticed something.
The grass was unusually tall, so the pilot did extra strenuous safety checks to make sure there would be no issues with the exhaust, especially when it comes to fire hazards.

His meal was interrupted when the cops were called on him
Inside the burger joint, he ordered a burger and fries and began filming a casual review, but mid-meal, flashing lights filled the parking lot.
Several police cruisers, EMS, and even a bright red fire truck arrived, and the pilot realized that someone had called the cops.
Sure enough, officers explained to him that someone had reported his helicopter to be either ‘smoking’ or ‘on fire’ during the landing.
He had a very measured conversation with the cops, deciding that the supposed ‘smoke’ was probably just heat discoloration in the grass beneath the exhaust.
If anything, it just shows that the emergency services take helicopter-based emergencies seriously, even if there’s no emergency.
