Imagine spending $2 million on a rare supercar like a Porsche 918 Spyder, only to lose track of it during delivery.
That’s enough to give anyone a serious anxiety attack.
However, this is exactly what happened when a customer was waiting for his newest possession to arrive.
But, the delivery was not just delayed – the car simply vanished without a trace.

The Porsche 918 Spyder that disappeared without a trace
This story takes us to a dealership in Connecticut known for selling exotic and classic cars.
The customer selected the one and only Porsche 918 Spyder, a car so exclusive that even LeBron James owns one.
He made the payment in full and requested the delivery before Friday, as he wanted to reveal the iconic car to his family.
The dealership owner, Matthew Ivanhoe took the full responsibility of the car’s delivery before time.
A two-driver team was also hired to drive continuously across the country and hand over the keys to the car owner personally.
However, seems like destiny had some other plans.
While Matthew was on a plane, heading towards the customer, he was informed that the truck had broken down, and it would be ready for delivery the next day.
Although, that was concerning, Matthew was hopeful that the car would still be delivered on time.
The truck was never broken down
The next day when he checked the tracker, he couldn’t locate the whereabouts of the truck, and for two straight days, there was no information about the car or the delivery truck.
But what actually happened would have definitely made the dealership owner and car owner see red.
In reality, the truck never went down – in fact, they reached the delivery place quite early.
But instead of delivering the Porsche 918 Spyder, the drivers decided to make another delivery, and left the car abandoned in a parking lot.
The poor car sat there, gathering dust and asking for another round of detailing.
Sadly, the car was not delivered on time, which definitely upended the owner—but it’s more about what he’s had for a lifetime—a Porsche 918 Spyder.
