A British YouTuber rescued a rare Bentley Mulliner from a California junkyard before finding something incredible.

Actor and classic car enthusiast Gary Mavers rescued this 1967 Bentley T-1, a bit worse for wear with significant rear-end damage.

However, after discovering what made this car so special, Mavers was in awe of the Bentley and its hidden secrets.

This made him more determined than ever to give the car the restoration that it deserves.

The 1967 Bentley was hiding some secrets

The 1967 Bentley T-1 is already a very rare car, with just 2,336 examples made over 15 years.

What makes this one even more special is that it’s a rare T-1 built by Mulliner Park Ward.

The T-1 itself was first produced in 1965 and remained in T-1 spec until the T-2 version emerged in 1977.

There were just 1,868 units of the T-1 made over its production run, with some special editions such as this one.

James Young and Mulliner Park Ward built 114 two-door saloons with exclusive coachwork.

Mulliner also produced two-door convertibles such as this one.

In total, just 41 of these rare Mulliner T-1s were ever made.

Mavers’s is the first Mulliner T-1 ever made

What makes this one so special is that it was the first of the Mulliner convertibles to leave their workshop.

The right-hand drive car was found in a Californian junkyard and has been off the road since the early 1990s.

The back of the car shows some serious damage.

The left-side rear bumper in particular, is badly smashed in.

Yet, aside from that, the rest of the car is in good condition.

The leather interior, though, looks remarkable despite over 30 years off the road.

There is virtually no rust on the Bentley, and the paintwork is in remarkably good condition.

It even still has the original 6.2-liter V8, producing 195HP that propels the car to a top speed of 118MPH.

Mavers has now brought the car back to the United Kingdom after paying a hefty $6,500 on shipping and taxes.

Once restored, though, the Mulliner could be worth up to $100,000.
