This man has been reunited with the 1970 Dodge Dart he used to drive back in high school, but it’s changed over the years.
Bryce picked up the car when he was 16, before trading it in for a Dodge Coronet.
But like a high school sweetheart, the car remained in the back of his mind.
However, when he eventually tracked it down, he realized how much had changed – and not for the better.

Reuniting with a Dodge Dart after years apart
By the time Bryce and his buddy Samson Andrew found the Dart, it’d been sitting parked for 10 years.
Shortly after purchasing it from Bryce, the Dart’s new owner gave it to his grandson, who didn’t really appreciate it.
That’s how it ended up parked in a backyard for a decade.
As you might imagine, being exposed to the elements for such a long time wasn’t kind to the Dart.
As reported by autoevolution, dirt had become engrained into the car’s paint.
The car was misshapen, with the roof no longer appearing straight and the rear quarter panel also looking battered.
On the plus side, there were no noticeable rust issues, and the grille was in relatively good shape.
Bryce had originally purchased the car for $800 from a man called Corban.
But that was a long time ago and the car was now playing host to chipmunks and mice.
You don’t want mice anywhere near your car – rodents left these YouTubers gagging as they cleared out a Honda Acura NSX that they’d taken up residence in.
The pint sized squatters had left droppings and food behind in the engine bay of the Dodge.
The engine was also totally dead.
How was the car’s interior looking?
The inside of the car could pass for a barn, as dozens of items have been dumped inside.
The doors are stuck, but this may be a small mercy as the interior was a huge mess.
Original elements have been lost over the years, leading to substitutes being harvested from other cars.
Getting the Dart out of its resting spot was very difficult, as the wheels were stuck.
Samson, who filmed the pick up for his YouTube channel, described the process as very difficult and awkward.
“The caretaker of the car was a different kind,” he said.
“He knew we were showing up, he had vehicles in the way.
“This car was bought over the phone, which is fine and dandy. But he did not lead onto it basically being kicked around the yard.”
It’ll take a lot of patience and work to get this Dart back on the road, but there have been bigger restoration jobs.
Even just this year, we have seen plenty of amazing restorations, from Elvis Presley’s jet to Marcus Rashford’s Rolls-Royce Wraith.
