When Apple has new products coming out, you half think that someone must be testing them, and you’d be right – this man was spotted testing out the newest iPhone 17 Pro in public before it’s even been released.
Apple has done a pretty terrible job at hiding the fact that he’s testing an Apple product. And as we already know the tech giant’s next release will be the iPhone 17 Pro, so by the powers of deduction, this must be it.
An anonymous man in a cap and sunglasses was pictured by a Reddit user comparing the iPhone 16 with the new iPhone 17 Pro. A piece of black tape covered the iconic Apple logos.
From the blurry pics captured, it’s clear that the new iPhone looks so different from its predecessor that it’s notable. In particular, the three enormous camera lenses on the back of the device.

The newest iPhone 17 Pro has been spotted in public
When big tech giants have new products coming out, the internet is just waiting for an accidental product leak. So Reddit was ablaze with excitement after seeing the new iPhone out and about in the wild.
Before it’s even been released, the iPhone 17 Pro has caused a stir due to its vast size and the new camera ‘bump’ which makes the new iPhone the deepest one ever.
This chunky new device was pictured with an anonymous man trying to surreptitiously test the iPhone in comparison with its predecessor.
Described by a commenter as ‘the most product-testing-looking product tester [they’ve] ever seen’, the man was trying to keep it lowkey in a pair of sunglasses and a cap, while he compared the two devices.

Apple did a bad job at hiding it
Due to the aforementioned camera ‘bump’, the back of the newest iPhone is very distinct and recognizable. So, it’s easier to spot someone testing out the new phone.
Even though the Apple logo had been poorly taped over with black tape, it was clear that product testing was going on, and the tester, despite his best efforts, was not flying under the radar.
The internet was surprised by how thick the newest iPhone 17 Pro is, with some commenters hoping that it is in a thick case built to hide significant design changes.
Only time will tell what the official public reaction will be to this chunky beast.
