A guy splashed the cash on a haul of super-rare technology, including the first-ever limited edition iPhone, but was left pretty underwhelmed after opening the box.
YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss joked that he parted with his life savings to get his hands on some very special tech items, including limited edition phones and consoles.
And some of them are so rare you probably haven’t even heard of them.
But when it came to unboxing the ultra-rare one-of-50 iPhone, he was left unimpressed for one simple reason.

The limited edition iPhone was only sold in one place
As the YouTuber began unboxing his tech, he explained that some items were rarer than others – and the limited edition Zenless Zen Zero iPhone was one of the rarest of the lot.
The special edition is one of only 50 ever made, and comes from a collaboration between Apple and the Zenless Zone Zero free-to-play video game.

The collaboration was the first time the iPhone has ever joined forces with a video game.
It was only sold in one single pop-up shop in Seoul, Korea, and to land himself one, the YouTuber had to hire a local who was willing to wait in line to get one and part with $2,070.
With all that in mind, he had pretty high hopes – and at first, it did look pretty impressive.
The iPhone came in a Zenless Zone Zero-branded box and after opening up the box he found a couple of special edition cases and a cute-looking magnet.

However, when the time came to open up the iPhone itself, the YouTuber was shocked to discover that the ‘limited edition’ device was actually just a standard black iPhone 16 Pro.
He couldn’t hide his disappointment and questioned why there wasn’t even a simple bit of engraving to mark out the phone as limited and make it different from the basic model.
“The high of actually being able to get this, to the low of opening it and realizing that at its core it is an iPhone with absolutely zero changes, it’s a big drop,” he said.

Some of the other tech was a bit more exciting
While the YouTuber was left unimpressed with his limited edition iPhone, some of the other items he managed to get hold of were more exciting.

He branded the special edition Samsung Galaxy Z Fold an ‘undeniable banger’ noting that as well as having a thinner and improved screen and a boosted 200 megapixel, the hardware had also been upgraded.
The YouTuber was also very happy with the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, which included a PS5 Slim, a PlayStation Portal, and Dual Sense Edge controller.
Unboxing the collection he was hit with a serious wave of nostalgia thanks to its neat themed packaging, and loved the added accessories, including some PlayStation cable ties and stickers.
“That was easily one of the best unboxing experiences I’ve ever had,” he said.
He also bought a one-of-1000 Nothing Community Edition Phone that was designed and developed over a six month period using community submissions
And unlike the iPhone, the Nothing device was quite different from the standard model with a glow-in-the-dark finish.
