Memphis-born rap star GloRilla just turned a family milestone into a viral moment.

After nearly three decades with the US Postal Service, her father finally hung up his uniform.

So the rapper did what any proud daughter-slash-chart-topper would do.

She gave him the ultimate retirement gift.

GloRilla gifts her dad his ultimate dream car

GloRilla went all out to honor her dad, Edwin C. Woods Sr., throwing an elaborate retirement party on November 3 in Memphis after his 29-year career with the postal service.

In a video from the night, the rapper thanks him for ‘all [his] hard work’ before leading him outside for his surprise.

That’s when the brand-new Jaguar SUV came into view, and Woods Sr. froze in excited disbelief.

Though unclear exactly which model she chose, Jaguar’s SUV lineup is known for pairing elegant British styling with serious performance.

We’re talking supercharged powertrains, plush leather interiors, and tech-heavy cabins built for comfort.

The kind of car that makes a statement even before the engine starts.

For GloRilla, the moment hit differently.

She’s had a huge year, from being crowned Billboard’s Top Female Rapper of 2024 to dropping her debut album Glorious to critical acclaim.

To top it off, she also earned three Grammy nominations.

But that night in Memphis was the pièce de résistance – the moment she could give back to her biggest cheerleader on his special day.

Celebrities turning milestones into luxury gifts

GloRilla’s big-hearted surprise joins a growing list of celebrities celebrating family with horsepower.

Machine Gun Kelly gifted his daughter her ‘dream car’ – an Acura TLX – for her 16th birthday – and her reaction was priceless.

Cristiano Ronaldo also went viral when he surprised his mom with a Porsche Cayenne.

A full-circle moment thanking her for years of sacrifice.

For GloRilla, the white Jaguar SUV wasn’t just a gift.

It was gratitude on four wheels.
