Someone has created something more modern than a garage, where supercars rise up out of the ground like a phoenix.

Alejo Barreneche is an architectural designer, and shared a video of the rising garage on his Instagram.

In the clip, the grass of the yard is seen rising upwards, as a supercar comes into view on a platform.

As you can imagine, this video got a lot of car fans excited.

If there’s one thing to love about luxury mansions, it’s some of the cool add-ons that come with them.

Whether it’s a glass room to show off supercars or a Ferrari Testa Rossa parked right in the living room, these touches are enough to make anyone feel house-proud.

Big garages are often seen as a must-have for gearheads who are house hunting.

We’ve seen some pretty impeccable examples over the years, like this 10-car garage sitting in a $8.7 million mansion, which sat alongside a drive-thru car wash.

In a Dubai mansion, there were two supercar garages at the owner’s disposal.

But this latest innovation, designed by architectural designer Alejo Barreneche, could well make garages obsolete.

In a video shared to his Instagram, he showed off the lift system.

The clip shows a lift rising up out of the ground in the middle of a lawn.

Inside the lift is a supercar, rising like a phoenix, ready to be driven off.

The footage made a splash online, with some pages branding it a ‘masterpiece of modern engineering’.

Car fans were enamored with the lift and shared their love for it.

“When I win the lottery, I won’t tell anyone, but there will be signs,” one person said.

“He thinks he’s Batman,” another commented.

“Okay, once I’m monumentally rich, I will get myself one,” a fellow admirer wrote.

There were some who raised queries about the functionality of the lift – what would happen if it broke, for example?

We imagine that there’s a backup in scenarios like this.

But we can’t help but wonder what the underground garage looks like. If the surroundings in the video are anything to go by, though, we bet it’s sizable.

And probably stocked with supercars.

There’s something quite neat about seeing such a powerful car rising upwards slowly, like a phoenix.

To see the high-tech garage alternative for yourself, head over to Alejo Barreneche’s Instagram page.
