Kerela, India, is facing catastrophic floods, and helpful citizens are stepping up to help – but this Mahindra Bolero is also lending a hand.
The Mahindra Bolero 4×4 has turned out to be something of a knight in shining armor.
The vehicle has been modified to help in the rescue mission, and hundreds of lives have been saved with numbers constantly growing.

Mahindra Bolero rescuing people like a hero
Relentless rainfall in Kerela is causing rivers to swell and dams to open.
Consequently, landslides have occurred, and large parts of the state have become submerged.
The conditions are so severe that many have tragically lost their lives.
In these challenging times, Mahindra Bolero didn’t just remain a bystander like other vehicles.
Not unlike the time the world’s largest cruise ship became a rescue vessel and saved 14 people stranded at sea.
The incredible video is uploaded on Instagram by 4x4_outlawz.
Despite being submerged up to its windshield, the vehicle continued to push through.
Fortunate when you consider that in that situation most cars would need saving themselves.
But due to the minimal electronic systems and its amazing raw power, Mahindra Bolero was able to operate, despite its cabin being fully submerged in water.

A vehicle built for tough situations
As there wasn’t any space left inside the SUV, the rescued ones had to sit on the bonnet.
One of the vehicles, notably a Jeep, even had lifebuoys and tube tires on board for added safety and rescue capability.
This isn’t surprising for the Bolero, as it’s built to handle tough situations like these.
It wasn’t just humans seeking Mahinda Bolero’s help – the vehicle even rescued a mini lorry stuck in the floodwaters.
It’s no wonder that people in India trust Mahindra to get from A to B – and out of danger when necessary.
