A single-digit license plate can sell for a lot to the right buyer, but what’s the limit?

Well, the world’s most expensive license plate went to the highest bidder last year at a price tag of no less than $15 million.

Most people would consider spending that money on the car itself, but that’s not what these signify.

Rare and unique plates like these are a testament to their owner’s wealth, and all for good reason.

World’s most expensive license plate

So, what does the world’s most expensive license plate read?

It says ‘P7’ and largely appears just as the number ‘7’ from far away.

It’s certainly a great addition to your car, but it also comes with an extremely expensive price tag.

The license plate was sold in Dubai at an auction last year, and an anonymous buyer became its owner.

Interestingly, it was reportedly spotted on a Tesla Model X, which feels like an unlikely vehicle for it to be put on.

You might expect the millionaire owner to put it on something like a Rolls-Royce.

Instead, they put the expensive number plate on a humble car to drive around on the highways of Dubai.

If you thought that was odd, there’s more.

Spending millions is the way

Another peculiar license plate that reads the number ‘5’ sits on the bumper of a Tesla Cybertruck.

It’s also the world’s most expensive Cybertruck because of it.

Although it’s not the first time we have seen a unique plate sell for an absurd amount, it still makes you wonder.

If you want to put things into context, a ‘basic’ penthouse in New York City starts at $10 million.

While these aren’t the ultra-luxurious penthouses you might have seen on social media, they’re still very much penthouses — that too in an expensive city like New York.

If anything, it’s all about your spending priorities in the end.
