Some truly incredible muscle car magic has struck again, after a first-generation 1968 Camaro Z/28 was found hidden in a barn with the original V8 still in the Chevrolet muscle car.
Barn finds are often some of the best cars in the world, and it’s not uncommon to find a muscle car hidden away in a barn, either.
That is what was seen on the Junkyardclassics Instagram page, after they found a 1968 Camaro Z/28 that had been sitting in a barn for some time.
The car was left to rot for years, but thankfully, this very special American muscle car has been saved and is awaiting a full restoration.

How the 1968 Camaro Z/28 was saved
According to the page, the Camaro had been in a barn for some time, waiting for some form of rescue.
While it had suffered and was worse for wear, the muscle car was still substantially complete.
Images show the Camaro sat outside, with trees all around it and leaves and branches across the bodywork.
Remarkably, the paintwork looks to have survived in pretty good condition.

The white stripes across the hood and trunk are still present, and the deep blue still shines through.
We can’t quite see inside, but it looks like some parts of the interior are in reasonable condition as well.
Thankfully, the story for this muscle car has a happy ending.
The Camaro is going for a full restoration.
The final images in the post show that the Camaro is going for a full restoration.
We got to see the muscle car loaded onto a trailer and being taken to its new home.
That’s the best possible result for this brilliant Chevrolet muscle car.
As one of the most desirable versions of the Camaro, it’s great that this Z/28 was saved from being scrapped.
