Tesla has introduced a useful new feature that will make losing your car in a busy parking lot a thing of the past.

Every year, Tesla rolls out its Holiday Software Update, introducing new features and functions.

For 2025, the Holiday Update is already rolling out and includes a handy Supercharger 3D Map feature

Alongside this, Tesla is also making it easier than ever to find your EV with a clever new addition to the app.

Parked your Tesla in a busy parking lot and can’t find it? Fear not

Previously, the Tesla app would share the address of where your car was, making it easy enough to find if you were parked on a road or street.

But if you were parked in a busy parking lot, or somewhere else where there were a bunch of vehicles, it could still be tricky to track down your car.

Now, Tesla has launched a new feature called Vehicle Locator that takes all the effort out of hunting for your EV.

Open up the app, and you’ll see that the Location data now has a small arrow next to it, which points you towards your Tesla.

The arrow works similarly to Apple’s Find My iPhone function and updates in real time.

Alongside the address and arrow, there’s also a handy little counter telling you how far away you are from your car.

So now, finding your car in a busy parking lot or an unfamiliar place will be a breeze.

The carmaker has added several cool updates

Of course, that’s not the only new update from Tesla.

The carmaker has introduced Live Activity for Dog Mode, which will use the in-vehicle camera to take periodic snapshots of your four-legged friend while in the cabin so you know they’re safe and happy.

It will also send live updates about the car’s temperature, climate conditions, and battery.

On the subject of its on-board cameras, the update allows you to turn your Tesla into a traveling photobooth, where you can take selfies, add filters, stickers, and emojis, and share them through the app.

And there have been some improvements to navigation, allowing you to reorder your favorites by simply dropping a pin and seeing suggested destinations based on places you’ve visited previously.
