The Tesla Cybertruck has been dominating the headlines once again, thanks to the rate at which the truck seems to depreciate.
Thanks to a competitive EV market, other options are seeming to be more popular, with investments being carefully chosen by drivers.
One car salesman had to deliver the news on how much value this Cybertruck had lost in only a few months.
The harsh reality of loss of value is an issue that many car enthusiasts face, and with car trends changing, today’s top vehicle could be old news by the time morning comes.

The Tesla Cybertruck: Here’s what you need to know
First launched in 2023, the EV pickup from Tesla sent shock waves across the auto industry.
Boasting a unique exoskeleton, the stainless steel Tesla Cybertruck also comes with shatterproof armor glass, making it almost indestructible.

The payload sits at 1,134kg along with a 4,990kg towing capacity, and when paired with over 300 miles of range, it is the ultimate road trip companion.
However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, which rings true when it comes to estimating the value of the truck.
One salesman found this out firsthand after a previous Tesla Cybertruck customer wanted to trade in their EV for a Porsche.

This dealer felt guilty when the time came to test the value of the Tesla
New Jersey car dealer George Saliba is no stranger to pulling out all the stops when it comes to selling luxury cars.
This time, though, the New Jersey native felt a pang of guilt after discovering what this Cybertruck was really worth after 17,000 miles.
“I sold it to him for $130,000; now he wants to trade it and buy a Porsche,” Saliba explained.

“[The] Cybertruck is only worth $75,000,” he continued.
With the customer in search of a 2021 Porsche Carrera S, Saliba explained that things were looking ‘ugly’.
“We don’t have too much room to work with, but I can give you $80,000 for your Cybertruck,” Saliba explained to the customer over the phone.
As you can imagine, the unfortunate situation sent EV fans into a frenzy online.
“$50k loss in three months, man that is brutal,” said one person.
“Layers of depreciation. Wild,” commented one user.
“He could’ve rented one for 3 months and not lost that much,” said a third person.
You have to admit, it’s an unfortunate scenario to be in, but at least all hope was not lost in the end.
After the phone call with Saliba, the customer was coming up with a plan to purchase the new Porsche.
We wonder what value the Porsche will boast after three months with the new owner.
