China has created a new type of license plate to be used especially by autonomous vehicles.
There’s no doubt that China is ahead of the curve when it comes to futuristic technologies.
The car that received the plate is quite an unusual automobile.
Called the Neolix X3, it may just pave the way for future autonomous cars.

China is always advancing the technology game
Chinese carmaker BYD has launched two new 1,100HP EVs in China that can charge 248 miles of range in just five minutes, and Xiaomi’s SU7 factory is so advanced that it’s now a tourist trap.
Now, the country is introducing a new type of license plate made specifically for autonomous vehicles.
There’s a new type of license plate in town

The license plate reads ‘A.00001’- simple enough, right?
Well, it’s reportedly made especially for autonomous cars – aka a car that has no driver and can sense its surroundings through the use of cameras or lidar technology.
The first vehicle to proudly display it was the Neolix X3.
According to the company, the Neolix X3 is being deployed right across the country to serve as a delivery vehicle.
Not only can it reach 40kmh, but it has a full charge range of 100kms.
And it’s small, so it can fit into tiny spaces for pick-ups and drop-offs.
The Neolix X3 has some impressive features

The autonomous car has multiple radar and vision capabilities.
It also has an ‘intelligent system’ that allows for it to operate around the clock alongside a multi-touch screen, speaker and even ‘multi channel interactive hardware’.
Now used in Shanghai, Gasgoo says that ‘NEOLIX has obtained official rights of way and achieved large-scale deployment in over 70 cities nationwide’.
The vehicle will help in the city with express deliveries thanks to its loading capacity and 100km full charge range.
Autonomous vehicles are set to be the future, that’s for sure, with some EVs even sporting self-driving modes already.
