Pictures of the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS have leaked ahead of the model’s official launch on August 17.
While the GT3 RS has always been a pretty crazy car, the 992 model is poised to be the best yet.
Most notably, the new GT3 RS has a massive ‘swan neck’ rear wing, which is designed for maximum aero benefits.
And it’s about as big as it could possibly be without being taller or wider than the car itself.

There are two sections to the rear wing which can adjust so that it has a Drag Reduction System (DRS) as well, enabling it to minimize drag in a straight line.
The wing is the biggest standout, but it’s not the only aero enhancement.
CHECK THIS OUT!
There’s a small ducktail spoiler, massive cut-away ducts behind the wheels, and a chunky rear diffuser for good measure.
According to the images leaked by one Instagram user, there are even air ducts in the hood and front quarter panels, so it should stick to the road like super glue.
Of course, the vibrant red wheels and side decals are a stand out too.
They draw inspiration from past 911 models including the 996.2 and 997.2 GT3 RS, as well as classic models like the classic 1987 Carrera Club Sport.
Pictures of the interior show four drive mode dials on the steering wheel instead of the usual one.
There are also red cloth door pulls to save weight, rather than a normal door handle.
Presumably, this will allow for easier customization of individual vehicle settings.
Power will come from a version of the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine in the current 911 GT3.
It’s unclear whether it will be upgraded or changed in any way for the GT3 RS, however.
A GT3 RS prototype was spied testing at the Nürburgring just last month, where Porsche hopes to claim a lap record.
Pricing is yet to be revealed for the GT3 RS, but the standard 911 GT3 starts at $161,100.
Although these pictures offer a glimpse, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be fully revealed on August 17, 2022.
