This American YouTuber bought a brand new Tesla Cybertruck and got it wrapped within 10 days — now he says that his wrap’s color should come as stock.

Say what you want, but this truck and wrap are practically synonymous these days.

Of course, owners not only get the freedom to pick their favorite color, but a single half-decent wrap can entirely change this pickup’s appearance.

So, what makes this wrap compelling enough for Tesla to take notes?

YouTuber says his new Tesla Cybertruck wrap should come as standard

The host from the YouTube channel Meet Kevin unveiled his 10-day-old Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast edition with a new look in a video.

At first, it seemed like he had a rather fancy makeover, like this hologram wrap, on his new vehicle.

However, it was quite the opposite.

He showed a matte wrap in neat dark grey — which was practically a slightly darker variant of the Cybertruck’s stock stainless steel grey finish.

Although he loved the color, the matte finish was the ace in the hole here.

Why is that, you ask?

Why a matte wrap might be a good idea

Like most other Cybertruck owners, he noted that the stock exterior attracts too many fingerprints, which is an easy fix if you just put on a matte-textured wrap on top of it.

The YouTuber was thrilled with his decision — so much so that he said the Tesla Cybertruck should come with this configuration as standard.

As much of a personal choice as a wrap is, his argument was reasonable.

By now, we’ve seen a massive portfolio of all kinds of wrapped Tesla trucks.

For instance, this matte-white Cybertruck looked pretty slick, which Elon Musk also liked.

If you want the truck to look rugged, you can go all-out like this company did with a rusty wrap.

Or if shiny gloss is your cup of tea, check out this ‘Blackout’ Cybertruck with a fancy all-black exterior.

Case in point — this vehicle’s stock finish is already iconic, but if you like to spice things up, getting it new clothes doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
