After putting some time behind the wheel of his Dodge Hellcat Charger Jailbreak, this North Carolina man has broken down his surprising monthly costs – and it’s an aptly named car.
Maybe it was always intended that the Charger series would be named that, knowing that Dodge was charging a fortune.
Well, that’s the case for this Hellcat owner whose Charger fees are continuing to rack up.
So, how much does he spend?

The Hellcat Charger is the lean, mean Dodge machine beloved by every muscle car enthusiast up and down America.
The most recent Hellcat Charger is freakishly fast and hellishly hungry to be run through the paddock.
Given the surge of EVs and futuristic models in the racing game, the Charger Hellcat has put ICE back on the map by obliterating the Tesla Plaid.
But weirdly, the cars struggle to keep owners for long. In fact, people are giving them up after just a few miles.
Why? Well, this North Carolina man revealed that he spends $2,000 a month on his Charger, and that’s on a generous month.

YouTube creator Knockout 360 owns a 2023 Dodge Hellcat Charger Jailbreak edition and has been using it as his ‘play car’.
It’s not a cheap toy, though.
Fresh off the truck, this Hellcat costs him $1,200 a month for its fee.
Then, he’s locked in an extremely ‘low’ insurance at just under $300 a month.
But the biggest woe is that he only averages 12 miles to the gallon.
If he were to drive it every day, he would be emptying a tank twice a week, leading up to gas bills of around $450 a month.
“Gas is subjective because I don’t think many people are daily driving this car,” he confessed.
“You can if you want to, it is a sedan and it serves a lot of purposes, but let’s be honest, I’m getting 12.2 to the gallon, it would be stupid to daily this.”
All in all, that’s $2,000 a month, and that’s before services and maintenance.

The Hellcat range is notoriously expensive to run, but that doesn’t stop people from clamoring to own one at every opportunity.
This young lad has already traded in a small fortune worth of bitcoin to buy Shaq’s hellcat, and that’s even before he can legally drive.
