Palm Springs, California, now has an airplane bar that looks like a cabin frozen in time.
Instead of boarding passes, you’re handed cocktail menus.
The seats, the tray tables, even the windows – all straight out of a jetliner.
No turbulence here – so if you stumble out wobbly, that’s on the booze.

Inside Palm Springs’ airplane bar
It’s called PS Air Bar, and from the inside, you’d never guess it sits in a sleepy strip mall.
Step through the doors and suddenly you’re boarding a retro airliner that never leaves the tarmac.
The seating is no illusion – real airline seats ripped from service, bolted down in neat rows.
Look around, and the theme only cranks up further.

Windows with landscape backdrops.
Overhead bins stuffed with vintage luggage.
Pictures of various flight attendant uniforms from over the years.
Even the bathroom is disguised as an onboard lav, so you never quite leave the cabin.
The drinks lean into the fantasy too.
Aviation-themed cocktails and ice in the shape of airplanes add a wink of whimsy to the whole thing.
The whole place is dripping in retro kitsch and cabin-class drama – a bar that dares to be different and stands out for all the right reasons.

Why people are talking about it
Locals swear it’s worth a visit.
One commenter even bragged about the ‘flight crew discount’ after going multiple times.
But not everyone’s convinced, though.
A few said they’d rather not relive the pain of cramped airline seats if they’re not actually going anywhere.
But that’s the charm here – deliberate absurdity.

Fans have already compared it to Colorado Springs’ Airplane Restaurant, the so-called ‘OG’ in-flight dining spot.
Palm Springs’ version, though, feels sleek – a little less museum, a little more lounge.
And unlike the real deal, here you can stretch your legs whenever you want.
For aviation fans, it’s the dream scenario.
No TSA, no boarding zones, no gate changes.
Just the glow of cabin lights, drinks on tap, and the illusion of a vacation without leaving the ground.
At PS Air Bar, every flight’s on time.
And the only baggage is the cocktail-induced headache you might take home.
